Emma
Hello!
I love having interesting conversations, I want you to feel comfortable and I want to help you build your confidence speaking English. Message me if you have any questions. Everyone Welcome 🏳️🌈
▶I lived in South Korea for 7 years as an English teacher and volunteered at an animal shelter while I was there. I lived in Italy for a short time, I have worked on cruise ships based in the Caribbean and spent time in America for summer camps. I've travelled widely including trips to China, Japan, Vietnam, New Zealand, America, Canada, Paris and Italy.🤠 ▶Please note: Over the course of my travels my accent has evolved and when teaching I tend to have a more American sounding accent. ▶I enjoy being out in my garden, going for walks in the nearby Lake District and talking about pets, travelling and different cultures. ▶I am a big Discworld fan, so if you like Terry Pratchett we will have a lot to talk about! 😆(I will definitely mention him at some point in class!🤓) ▶I usually watch Korean, Japanese, Thai and Chinese Dramas. I am learning Chinese, but I haven't had much time to study recently...I'm not a very good student.😣 ▶I was a member of the Association of Speakers Clubs here in the UK, where I improved my public speaking skills and practiced both planned and impromptu speeches, so if you need to do a presentation or make a speech, I have a lot of tips! 🤗 ▶I'm looking forward to meeting you!

Teaching Style
I'm a pretty relaxed, friendly person. I'm happy to follow my student's lead when it comes to classes. If you need to focus on grammar and vocabulary, I'm happy to do that and will be as helpful as I can. I also work hard to build my student's confidence, as I feel like this tends to be the biggest challenge for most students in using their English. I want you to feel comfortable to chat in our classes and I hope this will help you feel more comfortable using your English elsewhere.
